It's been a while since we posted any news. Some people say Die Idleburghers are still recovering from their performance at the Manchester Bierfest last October at the GMEX. Hopefully there will be some photographs coming soon!

Die Idleburghers are to play at Ellesmere for the Shropshire Union Canal Society on Saturday the 9th September. This will be similar to the function in Nantwich which they performed at last June. More information to follow soon.

If you are interested in attending the Manchester Bierfest on the 13th or 14th of October 2005, you can download the Manchester Bierfest Brochure! This is a large corporate event and tables are only sold in groups of ten!

It's been a while since any news has been posted on the world famous Idleburghers website. The Burghers are preparing for the ultimate invasion of Manchester GMEX on the 13th and 14th October for the Mancehster Bierfest. Die Idleburghers are to play in Nantwich on the 25.6.05. The gig is a private function and will take place at the Nantwich Marina and is for the Shropshire Union Canal Society. Rumour has it that Die Idleburghers will arrive by U-Boat. More news as it arrives.

Die Idleburghers will be performing live tonight at the Monaco Ballroom in Hindley near West Haughton!

A photo has been discovered of Idleburgher stars when they were much younger and in training for their future occupations. The photo shows young Idleburghers preparing to enter the bavarian bier mines in the mountains. As soon as we have security clearance the photo will be posted here so stay tuned!

Plans for this years tour are now well underway. We will be returning to the Chateau Du Baffy in Normandy the scene of our devastating 2002 invasion. The Chateau has undergone some serious refurbishment since our last visit, maybe it was becuase of us that it was refurbished!

Die Idleburghers took to the stage for their one and only Christmas appearance of 2004 at St. Matthew's Concert Band Christmas Concert. After the school band performed the Idleburghers played two of their bier stomping sets to the delight of the crazy audience. It was a bit dissapointing not to have more parents of school band members in the audience but the school children filled up the empty seats for the world famous Idleburghers performance.

There has been at long last a sighting of long lost Willie Wood. It seems that he has been working undercover for the Bavarian Gestapo at Manchester Airport. He has been checking peoples luggage for illegal bavarian suasages. More news as it arrives!

I vas recently valking through zee voods of bavaria ven i heard zee distant sound of zee trompeten echo, and because i had none of zee drumming apparatus with me to play a polka i sang the echo back. My echoing and tuneful singing seemed to be attracting something to my direction as zer vas a lot of rustling of zee bushes. Then to my horror, out of zee rustling bushes sprang a trompet vielding, leder hosen clad bavarian savage who chased me up zee nearest tree. To my surpise i realised that it vas Willie wood am morgen, who has clearly come back into contact with zee man eating shorts zat he left to roam zee bavarian landscape in Klostermansfeld 2000.
You vill be happy to know zat i am safe und vell. I managed to take a photo
und  escape by throwing a clean pair of Y-fronts at him und a prawn jalfrezi
wurst.

St. Matthew's have announced a farewell concert to take place on Thursday 15th July. The concert is a joint concert with St. Matthew's Concert Band and Blackley Brass Band. The entertainment will start at 7.30pm. St. Matthew's will be leaving for their ninth band tour of Germany after the concert at around 11pm.

Idleburghers headquarters have just recieved a disturbing video tape of someone claiming to be a band tour participant. Idleburgher experts are currently studying the tape to see if it is genuine. News has just arrived at Idlburghers HQ of two Idleburgher stars that have been stranded in the French city of Bourdeux! Apparently after a mix up over which bavarian sausages to eat over lunch Schtinkenhof und Hans Vondering missed their flight home. Hans says: "Hopefully ve will make it back in time for ze Vom In A Suitcase Tour in July!". Click here for larger picture!

News has just come in that the Germany 2004 tour has been moved from Bad Salzig to near by Boppard. Rumours say that Bad Salzig was not a big enough challenge for Die Idleburghers!

Idleburgher star Bee-day Von Krappen had a lucky escape in Prague last week on the pre invasion recon mission. Bee-day entered what looked like a normal telephone booth, unknown to him it was a top secret German spy box. After eateing Bee-day's money it then went on to fire Czech coins out of the slot aimed towards Bee-day's head. Bee-day said: "$?£* of a phone box!". Bee-day is now back in England recovering after his ordeal.

Last week on the Idleburghers pre invasion recon mission, Die Idleburghers stopped of at the famous 'Hofbrau House' in Munich. The devestation was fierce when Bee-day und Sctinkenhof started on the Steins! Die Idleburghers definately left their mark in the Hofbrau House toilets und the Munich underground! This weekend Hans Vondering has announced his intention to take part in Die Idleburghers 'Vom In A Suitcase European Tour!'. This weekend Hans said: "I am looking forward to schunkling und guzzling this summer with Die Idleburghers. It will be a great opportunity to team up with Bee-day und Schtinkenhof for some severe organ damaging sessions!".

At long last we are almost ready to to post photos from the famous appearance by Die Idleburghers at the London Bierfest last October. Sorry it has taken so long to get these pictures ready. Check back very soon!

Next week Bee-day Von Krappen und Paul Van Schtinkenhof will visit Bad Salzig where Die Idleburghers will be going in July. The purpose of this visit is to check out strategic targets such as bier kellers und cash und carry's. Also along for the ride will be Frauline Hyde und Frauline Cross. Frauline Cross agreed to come on the mission to offer spiritual guidance to the other three Idleburghers.

In the last two weeks Die Idleburghers have performed twice. The first gig was Saturday the 28th of February at St. Dunstan's parish hall in Moston, just a stones throw away from The Sports Und Social Club where the Idleburghers made serious gains in December 2003! The second gig was at Stamford golf club, Stalybridge on Saturday 13th March for Mr. Robert Godfrey's birthday party. Idleburghers.co.uk had a brief chat with Idleburgher megastar Bee-day Von Krappen about the new tour dates that have been announced this year: "Ve are all looking forward to ze tour this year, ve haf chosen the title 'Vom In A Suitcase Tour' to remind us of past tours. Und zehr ist ze competition to see who vill vom in a suitcase first!"

This past weekend Die idleburghers und friends played a Christmas Spectacular concert at St. John Bosco's. Included in the program were Christmas favourites such as Away In Ein Manger und Horchen Sie Herald Angels Singen along with some traditional bavarian Christmas songs such as Sleigh Glocke Echo!

This past weekend Die Burgermeister took up his festive traditional role of Vater Christmas. Die Burgermeister was present at St. Matthew's Christmas fair on Sunday 30th November. Click here to see larger image.

We can now tell you that Die Idleburghers long awaited home coming gig which has been held up due to contractual negotiations has been finalised. Tickets are £3.50 each available from St. Matthew's RC High School reception - 0161 681 6178. Tickets are available on the door priced at £4.00. Food will be available on the night and there will also be guest artists supporting Die Idleburghers.

Last veek Die Idleburghers again successfully invaded West Haughton golf club for the third year running. This years performance included sausage game, schunkling, foot pumps etc. Idleburgher star Bee-day Von Krappen recieved an email from the organisers of the concert this week:

We regret that the concert booked for Saturday 4th October has now been cancelled due to lack of interest. Die Idleburghers still need to make some gains around this area of the country!

This years band tour saw the vomiting record broken several times. Frau Gilmartin was ill all week and could not participate in the invasion. The record was well und truly smashed when ten people were seen vomiting at the same time on the coach!

Negotiations have just been completed to bring Die World Famous Idleburghers to the 'Sylvester Horne Institute' , Church Stretton, Shropshire. The schunkling, drinking und singing vill take place on October 4th 2003 at 8.00pm.

Last night die Idleburghers gathered at Vater David Von Chapman's gasthaus for a pre invasion BBQ. Included in the guests were usual Idleburgher heros Burgermeister, Bee-day Von Krappen, Paul Van Schtinken Hof und Michael Klinenwurst. There were also honorary Idleburghers Alan Von Cottril und Paul Von Mooney enjoyin the shindig!

Hans turned his amazing talents to DIY painting und decorating dis veek. He decided to give his frauline a helping hand with her decorating by painting one of the walls. Little did Hans realise that his paint brush was covered in an unknown substance similar to paint stripper. After Hans had finished the job he departed to die gasthuas for ein bier und schunkle. When he returned to Han's horror the paint was pealing away from the walls. Hans says: "I was set up, the paintbrush had been sabotaged!"

Mr. X has again kept us informed of Willies progress. Willie is now in pre season schunkling und vomiting training in Utah, USA. Rumours say he is about to sign for Europes elite bavarian band Real Von Madridenhof. Willie has not been in touch with Die Idleburghers for several months now. It is highly likely he vill miss this months invasion of southern France!

Ve haf recieved reports that Van Schtinken Hof has been arrested on the Germany - Austria border. Apparently the Austrian authorities found unlicensed bavarian sausages in his 'Stealth Punto'! click here for full size photo! Schtinken Hof is apparently back in England after his stealth recon mission on the continent. It is now looking more likely that the forthcoming Idleburghers invasion will be the most devastating ever!

Van Schtinken Hof has been undercover in France for several days now on a special reconnaissance mission for Die Idleburghers. Reports have been recieved that Schtinken Hof missed his Ferry but managed to cross the channel in his new water resistant 'Stealth Punto', click here for full size photo! The first reports are coming in of sightings of Willie Wood Am Morgan after our emotional plea for information to the public. One person even managed to get hold of this photo from the mountain tops of Bavaria which proves Willie is alive and well.Thanks to Mr. X for supplying us with this information. Die Idleburghers met at a secret location last night to discuss battle plans for the forthcoming Alpine invasion. The location had to be kept secret but the government has allowed the official website to release this photo of the location. Early reports show that only Die Idleburghers hierarchy were present. Apparently they were examining last years invasion video to tighten up their tactics for the next invasion. All Idleburghers will be briefed when they all meet up next thursday for the Concert at St. Matthew's RC High School.

The press have managed to catch a photo of what seems to be Hans Vondering operating a business on the side. The press have uncovered a scandal which will rock the Bavarian Schunkling world. It seems Hans Vondering has been illegally smuggling bavarian sausages into the UK under the guise of a caterer. Last week his catering van was seen in London on his way back from the bavarian port of Dover-hof. Idleburgher officials have denied any involvement in the scandal but it is becoming clear where Die Idleburghers get their bavarian sausages from for all their concerts. Hans has denied being involved in anything illegal. At the moment Hans is being vigorously pumped for information by top secret bavarian sausage lederhosen wearing gestapo agents!

Die Idleburghers 'Bavarian Um-pah Band' took Leigh by storm this last weekend. Some superb schunkling und drinking tactics ensured victory was theirs. Bee-day Von Krappen took up his original role of percussionist und Die Idleburghers had two guests, Stephan Von Corbet und his wife. There was a brief hiccup as some Idleburghers got lost on the way there but by strange coincidence the minibus found Vater David Von Chapman and directed him to Leigh Cricket club. The club was very compact and not much room for Die Idleburghers to set up but they managed some how. Heir Norman Von Grun also made an appearance at this concert for the first time in a year. Die Idleburghers celebrated a fine concert mit Popalinos Pizza take away afterwards.

Stories are starting to come in of a drunken Schtinken Hoff binge in Huddersfield a couple of weeks back. No one really knows what actually happened apart from Schtinken Hoff und Hans Vondering. We do know for sure that some kind of brief fling took place between Sctinken Hoff und some hairy female creature, we are still trying to determine weather she was human or maybe half human half beast. Schtinken Hoff was unavailable for comment on the incident!

Last night a group of Idleburgher und affiliates attended a get together at an undisclosed location. Die Idleburghers were advised by police to keep it secret to avoid hundreds of fans turning up and maybe causing trouble. A few fans managed to find out about the party and waited outside for autographs. A spokesperson for Die police said: "We are pleased that the occasion passed off without any incidents." Die Idelburghers treated the party as a low key affair with only beer und lager and no shorts, a curry delivery man turned up at about 12.30am which could only have been for Bee-day Von Krappen und Paul Van Schtinken hoff. Apparently Die Idleburghers were watching videos of previous invasions around Europe as preperation for the next invasion of Chatel in Southern France. Rumours and scandal surround Die Idleburghers at the moment because of the abscence of Willie Wood Am Morgen. He has not been seen with the rest of Die Idleburghers for some time fueling rumours that a transfer deal has been made with another undisclosed top Bavarian band from the continent.

Die Burgermeister was caught on camera last week at die Buxton Bavarian band festival. Die Burgermeister was not happy with all the paparazzi following him around and as you can see he was close to bursting point! Sources in Bavaria have informed us that rumours say he may have even had a bottle of Smirnoff Ice. Die Burgermeister was not available for comment on the incident and has asked the paparazzi to leave him alone so he can concentrate on preparing for the up and coming invasion of Chatel In die French Alps which is due to take place in late August. He wishes to remain focused on the Bavarian schunkling und drinking!

Die Idleburghers 'Bavarian Um-pah Band' successfully marched on West Haughton on Saturday 12th October. In true Idleburgher style, Die Idleburghers left nothing to the imagination. Die audience were forced to enjoy themselves and had to put up with loud bodily function noises coming from Die Burgermeister! The evening kicked off with the usuall rousing theme tune polka und then moved ruthlessly into the toast und then Die Bavarian schunkle. For die elderly members of ze mad crowd this was too much to handle! Things eased off until the traditional game of pass ze parcel was unleashed on ze unsuspecting crowd. The third set lulled the crowd into a false sense of security until the loathed foot pumps made an appearance. The invasion was capped off with a devestating progressive schunkle!

On Friday 25th September 2002, An Idleburgher made a shameful public display of drunkeness. The binge began at an Idleburghers birthday bash at her home headquarters. By 11.30pm the Idelburgher was unconcious on the toilet. There are also rumours of vomiting but this cannot be proved at this time. We will post the news as it arrives. None of Die Idleburghers were available to make any comment about the Friday night sesh. For legal reasons die Idleburghers identity must be kept secret!
